Disable the Splash Screen
Ever wonder what's going on behind that splash screen when Windows XP is
booting? Well, now you can find out!
- Right click My Computer
- Select Properties then click on the Advanced tab.
- Next click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
- Click Edit
- Add "/SOS" right after /fastdetect with a space between them.
- After you restart, the splash screen should be gone! You can set it back
simple by removing the /SOS switch
